Weekly Photo Challenge: Beneath Your Feet

Since my passion is watching every creature God created with a curious nature, here are a few of my photos from the past to show what interesting things appear in our backyard…this first one is of a type of woodpecker that aerates the lawn, by sticking his beak deep into the ground to suck out ants, causing 1/2″  holes.

Beneath your Feet

The squirrels love the dry bread thrown out to them, and wait until the birds get their fill if they have to compete for it…running away up the tree with a whole slice of bread is so funny to watch!

So many more that I would love to share, unfortunately, this would become a photo album…LOL In just a couple of years, we have had a family (multi-generational) of Cats, Peregrine Falcons, Woody (toad that we kept for about 2 months) many varieties of spiders (including an ant-mimicking one) , grasshoppers (including a black one), turtle doves, blueJay, numerous beetles, butterflies, moths (including a very large one that I only saw for about a minute, not long enough to photogragh, etc, etc, yes this could have been made into a book of nature
